Division Chief Phillip Brown – brown@ionafire.com
Division Chief Phillip Brown has been with the Iona McGregor Fire District since1989. He began his career in 1982 with the Division of Forestry in Dade and Broward Counties. In 1986 he became a certified firefighter from the Broward County Fire Academy. After being called to work a brush fire in the Iona McGregor Fire District in 1989 he decided to join Iona as a firefighter, and was later promoted to engineer, then Lieutenant Paramedic. Chief Brown has been an active member of the Urban Search and Rescue team in Lee County since its inception, as both a rescue specialist and a search specialist and is currently one of the safety officers for the team. He is certified in swift water rescue, high angle rescue, confined space, large animal rescue, building collapse and Hazmat. Chief Brown holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is married with one son. |

Inspector Shar Hingson – hingson@ionafire.com
Shar Hingson has been with the Iona McGregor Fire District since 1999. Her career in public safety began with Lee Control (Lee County ambulance and fire dispatch) during the 80’s. She began her career as a fire inspector at Pine Island Fire District and made the move to Iona McGregor. She holds State certificates as a Fire Investigator, Fire Inspector, and Fire Instructor III. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and is actively pursuing her Fire Officer certification. In 2006, Inspector Hingson became a certified firefighter. She holds the title of being the first grandmother to graduate from the facility. Inspector Hingson is married with two children and two grandchildren. |

Inspector Robert Newcomb – bnewcomb@ionafire.com
Robert Newcomb began working at Iona/McGregor Fire District in July, 1991 as a Firefighter/EMT. After 13 years, he transferred to Fire Prevention as a Fire Inspector. |

Jackielou began her career as a Fire Inspector with Iona McGregor Fire District in 2004 and is currently pursuing her Fire Science degree. |

Inspector Philip Daniels - daniels@ionafire.com
Philip Daniels began his career in the fire service at the City of Naples Building Department as a Fire Inspector/Plans Examiner in 2004. He was then hired by the City of Fort Myers as a Plans Examiner in 2005. In the fall of 2006, he became part of the Iona-McGregor Fire District as a Fire Inspector where he is currently in the process of obtaining his AS Degree in Fire Science Technology. |

Inspector Donna Keaton - keaton@ionafire.com
Donna began her career with Iona McGregor Fire District in 2003 as an Administrative Assistant. In 2007 she obtained her certification and became a Fire Inspector. Inspector Keaton also serves as a certified child safety seat technician. |
