Todd Taylor Todd Taylor has served as the Vice-Chairman for the Iona-McGregor Fire Protection and Rescue Service District for the past five years. He has twenty years of experience in the fire and rescue industry. Todd currently serves as a Battalion Chief with Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District. BC Taylor holds a Bachelor’s degree In Business Management, National Fire Academy Chief Fire Officer Curriculum, Associate degrees in Fire Science Technology and Management, Florida Fire Service Instructor, Florida Fire Officer Certification and Emergency Medical Technician. Before being promoted to Battalion Chief, then Lt. Taylor was recognized as the 2004 Firefighter of the Year by the Bonita Springs Optimist Club.

In 2003, Todd Taylor was elected as a Fire Commissioner for the Iona-McGregor Fire District and has served as the Vice-Chairman since 2004. During this time, Todd has proposed the following priorities to the Board of Commissioners:
  • Remodel and keep Iona-McGregor Station One open in order to provide the taxpayers with quicker response times in the northern section of the District. Station One is located at the intersection of McGregor Boulevard and Winkler Road. This station was originally slated to be closed upon the completion of Iona-McGregor Station Four located on College Parkway and South Pointe.
  • Assure that the tax payers of Iona-McGregor receive the best fire services possible.
  • Maintain federal, state, and local standards for organizational and deployment of fire suppression operations, and special operations to the public by the District.
Todd has been a supporter of proposals concerning updating job descriptions and qualifications, succession planning for a smooth promotional transition and most importantly educational programs that focus on long term service and success for both the taxpayers and the organization.
